Bottle Collection for Recycling: Turning Plastic Waste into Sustainable Value

As part of its commitment to sustainable business practices and ESG principles Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Bangkok Lab and Cosmetic Public Company Limited (BLC), through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee, organized the second year of the “Bottle Collection for Recycling: Giving Back Through Sustainability” project on December 10, 2025.
The initiative encouraged employees to separate and collect recyclable PET 1 plastic bottles for upcycling into fabric used to produce Buddhist monks’ robes. Employees actively participated in the collection campaign from June to November 2025, demonstrating strong engagement in responsible waste management and resource circularity
Through the collective efforts of employees, the project successfully gathered enough recyclable plastic bottles to produce 1,377 sets of monk robes through the upcycling process. In addition to supporting religious and community benefits, the initiative helped address the issue of single-use plastic waste, reduce carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions, and promote more efficient use of resources.
This project reflects the Company's commitment to reducing its environmental footprint and advancing a low-carbon society. It also supports BLC's ongoing efforts to reduce carbon emissions, promote a circular economy, and create positive environmental and social impacts for both the organization and surrounding communities.
